What’s on your play list?

I just finished a great workout and as I was flipping through my ipod, I realized how more intense each set was when the “right” song came on.  Music is such an important part of our lives and there are those songs that can help all aspects of lives, weather we need to heal, celebrate, remember, perform or mourn, there are those songs.

What’s great about the Ipod is that you can create those very specific play list for those moments.  Not like when we use to have to fast forward the tape in our Sony Walkman to find the right song (that’s what my mom told me).

Remember “let get physical” by Olivia Newton-John.  You could not have told me that wasn’t a song about anything other than working out.  Geesh, I loved me some Olivia Newton-John.  Sorry, I digressed……..

Working out is a huge part of my life and when I want my workouts to be effective, there are some songs i want to hear depending on the type of workout.  I want to share my “go hard” 10 song play list, hoping that you will share your play list.  Now this is not the same list I would listen to if I was going for a run or if I was doing some stretching.  This is the “man vs. machine”/”I will not lose”/”you don’t know me” list.

  1. Ante Up – M.O.P
  2. ‘Til I Calapse – Eminem
  3. Many Men – 50 Cent
  4. Simon Says – Pharoah Monchs
  5. Triumph – WuTang Clan
  6. Who shot’cha – Notorious B.I.G
  7. Stronger – Kanye West
  8. Dream Shatterer – Big Pun
  9. Stop Being Greedy – DMX
  10. Eye of the Tiger – Survivor

What’s on your 10 song workout play list?  And which workout is it for?
